Twenty-something and really, really, ridiculously good looking, Bobby Boswell will be wearing new colors in 2008. Following three seasons as a member of D.C. United, Bobby was traded to the Houston Dynamo, who have won two straight MLS Cups.

Despite going undrafted (how the heck did that happen?) out of college, Bobby joined United during its pre-season in 2005 and was very quickly signed. He was so impressive during the weeks leading up to the season, that he was named the team’s starting center back and went on to start 26 of the 27 games he played in. Bobby saw even more success in 2006, as he was named to the All-Star team, as the League’s Defender of the Year and at the end of the season to the MLS Best XI. Bobby saw time in 23 games (22 starts) in 2007, collecting a career high two assists, as the club captured its second consecutive Supporters’ Shield (for earning the best regular season record).

Bobby’s interests extend beyond the soccer field, however, as he was named D.C. United’s Humanitarian of the Year three straight years, for his extensive contributions off the field.

Bobby also really likes movies, music and camouflage.

In October of 2006 he was named as the Virginia representative for Cosmopolitan’s Bachelor of the Year search. Among the highest vote-getters, Bobby was unable to take home the coveted (highly coveted!) title of Bachelor of the Year, because the media tour fell during the week leading up to MLS playoffs (darn it). He still had a good time with the process and put together a video for use on Cosmo’s site. A funny video. Like, really, really funny.

See? We told you it was funny.

Anyway, thanks for checking out BobbyBoswell.com. We hope you enjoy it.
